A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I've had a crush on a guy for a long time now, I was going to ask him out when we leave our school because he will be in the same house colour as me in high school but I'm now heart broken when I found out he is going out with a year 5 girl! I'm wondering though when we go to high school should I ask him out? I mean he won't see her again for another year and she might not even be in the same house and she lives far away!

I need help fast

Andy00 agony auntHello!

Please keep in mind how young you both are, you have plenty of time for love. But if you are interested in sharing some time together, then I would wait for now. If he is currently going out with another girl, it would be wrong of you to ask him out.

My advice is just wait. I'd say it's very unlikely that things will work out between the two. And then if it shouldn't, don't immediately rush to ask him. Perhapps before summer starts, you could simply ask him if he'd like to do something over the summer holiday, it's a long break after all. From there, who can say.

All I know is, you are both very young, and having crushes can be a complicated thing for everyone and anyone of all ages.
