He wants you to take it the Sunday after you get your period. If it doesn't come on time this month then call your doctor & ask him what to do. I am sure that if you have an idea of when you had your last period, he can tell you to start taking it on such & such date it it doesn't come... You don't want to wait 3 months for it to come if it is that irregular because the pill will help regulate it. Which will be nice ;)

Also I recommend using condoms, which I still use on the pill, for extra protection from pregnancy. It's better to be safe then sorry, considering you and I are both pretty young. The pill is merely 'disaster insurance' in my eyes, meaning if the condom breaks, I'll still be pretty well protected. But not fully.

I also am on the birthcontrol pill. My doctor also recommended I be a 'Sunday Starter'. I'm a 'First Day Starter'. Read the pamphlet that comes with your birth control. I use Aviane, and to start as a 'First Day Starter', you start on the first day of your period.
However, you can start at anytime of the month, I believe, according to my doctor when it came to my medicine, but you won't have any pregnancy protection until you finish your pack of pills. You can call the clinic you got them from, or you can call the pharmacy to ask about this.
As a note, I started on the first day of my period, and like most girls who start the pill in any way, I had my period ALL month, but it was very, very light. This is normal and should go away by the end of your first pack, when your next period starts. :) I would call the pharmacy if your pamphlet is too vague. Good luck!
