Conception is 'usually' more likely around 7 to 10 days after your last period (if you are regular). However, every woman is slightly different so some couples use ovulation kits to determine when is the best time to try. Conception is more likely when you eat well, don't smoke or drink and have sex often enough (a couple of times per week!) to give yourself a chance. Take folic acid tablets. Some experts claim that certain positions are good for getting pregnant but I think the only scientifically proven method is to lie down on your back for about 30 mins after sex.
