A male reader, Mr.Ed +, writes (19 January 2006):

Mr.Ed agony auntSorry, you had to hear those words; while there might be some truth in what he said, there is also a mixture of alot of things a drunk person says. Like for instance; combining two thoughts into one and spitting out the sum. Do however, hold him accountable for being DRUNK and not for the BS that comes out of his mouth. I know from personal experience that I've said some really stupid things I would have never said. However; they were only 1/2 truths and a mixture of what I wanted or what I lossed. It's sorta like your sub-concious speaking for your fears. Definately his actions will speak louder than his words.

Good luck

MilanaNYC21 agony auntPeople usually speak the truth when they are drunk. Their unconscious feelings tend to come out. Therefore, unless he is just an angry and senseless drunk, there might be an actual problem. However actions are more important than words. So you might want to take into consideration how well he treats you and how much love he shows you before you actually end things.
