I would say that you will go insane with the irritation and itch and not feel well until you acutally treat the yeast infection. I have never met anybody who would not want to get the yeast infection cured asap to start feeling better.

How do you know it's a yeast infection?
From webmd.com:
"When to go call the doctor
"For healthy children and adults, if you try a medication and it fails or symptoms worsen, then consult your doctor. All people with weakened immune systems should contact their doctors with any new symptoms or infections.
"Various conditions can cause nonmenstrual vaginal discharge in women, such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and bacterial vaginosis.
"If vaginal discharge lasts for more than 1 week, consult your doctor.
"If yeast infections recur, see your doctor for a more thorough work-up. Candidiasis that comes back may be a symptom of a hidden disease such as diabetes, leukemia, or AIDS.
"Other symptoms such as bloody discharge, abdominal pain, fever, and increased urination also can indicate more serious problems, and you should seek medical help."

Take care. Remember you only get the one body and the one ratchapoochie; why not take good care of them?

Yeast infection is a fungal infection which can cause discomfort and itching in the vagina.
It depends what type of yeast infection you have for it cause serious harm. You can have it an infection in your throat and then it can lead to serious problems.
Yeast infections can be treated easily with antibiotics so you need to see your doctor or the local pharmacy to get it.
Good luck!

I have a friend who was doing his internship at a hospital in Chicago. A woman came in with her ratchapoochie torn to shreds, he said it looked like raw hamburger. Apparently she was suffering from a nasty yeast infection and had taken a wire brush to herself to relieve the itch. I think that's the worst that can happen. Go to the store and get the medicine, it's over the counter stuff.

I dont have a vagina of my own, so I am not 100 percent on this.
But I know that the it can smell pretty awful. And I cant imagine a bacteria infection untreated is healthy. I am pretty sure you can pick a quick kit up at meijer or any pharmacy store for under 20 bucks.
just a thought.
