I have had sex with guys I thought I was in love with and it turns out ok...while I have had sex with guys I could care less about but it's awesome. Is making love and having sex so different?....depends on who your partner is. And how good they are in bed.
I know that "making love" is better than just plain sex...but that's just on paper. Sex is sex and if its great sex...does it really matter if your in love? If you ask me... I just want great sex and if I'm in love with the guy its a bonus, but not required.

I wouldn't agree with eyeswideopen that you can only make love if you are 21 years or older. I fell in love for the first time when I was 16 and I know that when we had sex we were making love. I'm 24 now and it's still doubtless in my mind that we truly loved each other.
There is no physical difference between sex and making love but there is a deep connection when you make love that is different from sex. You'll understand this when you've met the right person.
If you are considering sex in the near future make sure to get proper advice about contraception.

When you truly love someone (and you can recognize true love because you are 21 years or older) and you have sexual intercourse (because you are legal and mature and 21 years old or older)then that's making love. If you have sex any other way then that's just plain sex, just like my dog does it.

Generally sex and making love are the same thing but sex can be any place anytime and completely crazy and making love is more passionate.

Not so much physically as mentally and emotionally.
Making love usually is more of an emotional act between two people who are in love.
Having sex could be anyone.
Regardless it's still sexual intercourse. I have sex with my boyfriend of going on four years and we don't call it making love; it's just words.
