I was dating a guy for 2 months and he decided to try and tell me that he cheated on me with a girl that he said 2 weeks ago wasn't real. Keep in mind he said this after I broke it off with him. I'm not sure how to act. He says he loves me one day then the next he hates my guts. It's hard to face him anymore. He is always lurking around my family so he can see me. I know this because he never hung out with them before. I just want to know from any guys why he is doing this to me and sending me mixed signals?

It's a breakup thing. It depends how/why you broke up, and that will be the reason he's acting weird. I was bitter and resentful to one of my exes, hating her with all my heart one day, going back to missing her terribly the next. It's the way she broke up with me, no real reasoning, and after I forgave her for cheating on me TWICE.
Now, 9 months on, she's halfway up the country in Middlesborough at Uni, and I'm stuck down here in sunny sunny London. We're the best of friends, but I still miss her from time to time. I suppose you need to look into the factors of the breakup itself, and if that reveals nothing, give him some time and he'll stop being so childish (as I did in time).
