What's the best way to ask if someone's single?

Whats a good way to find out if a girl has a boyfriend? IS the best way to just ask? "are you single?" or is there a better way to ask that isnt so straight forward?

Use a question that naturally leads up to it. Like the post below. "Have you seen such a film yet?". If the answer is no, you could ask her if she'd like to see it with you. Or if you wanted to be brave and really put yourself out, you could just ask her if she has a boyfriend.

xxsecretsxx agony auntjust talk to that person. Usually during the first five to ten minutes of a conversation a woman will bring up their relationship status.

If she has a boyfriend she will mention it.

Also it never hurts to ask question about things a girl would normally do with a boyfriend.

Such as "Have you seen any movies yet? Have you ever been to this..(restuarant, bar, park..."
