A male reader, Rey United States +, writes (5 November 2007):

Rey agony auntNice words.

Right now I'm feeling very unappreciated by my g/f of 9 months, a year if you count all the months we spent talking as friends before officially getting together. I feel as though she doesn't put me first in the relationship and this has made me feel unappreciated. I spend all my money on her and I do everything she asks of me. I give her everything I have including my attention. I give her 110% and I feel like she's only giving me 55% She came home from school for the weekend a few months ago and didn't even stop by to see me. After a few months of not seeing your significant other HOW can you be 5 mins away from their immediate vicinity and NOT come see them? That makes me feel like she's lying when she says she loves me. It's inexcusable. I feel.

She's coming back this Thursday and if she does it again. I'm going to break up with her once and for all. I once stole my moms car and drove 3 hours just to see her and she couldn't even visit me for 3 mins on her way out of town? It's really upsetting, but I know I deserve someone who will treat me better. This is her last chance. If she does it again we're through for good. Life is too short to waste it being unhappy and unappreciated.
