As it turns out, she actually lives near Los Angeles (where I live), and visits there frequently. As the party drew to a close (we danced and talked for about 3 hours), I took her to the terrace and after taking for a bit we kissed for about 10 minutes. She then had to leave with her parents, but told me to friend her on facebook so she could give me her phone number so we could hang out. I sent the friend request and she accepted it. So now I have to send the facebook message. I am going back to Los Angeles on Friday, so I was thinking of sending a message tomorrow (Thursday)So my question is: What should I say in the message?One option I had was: "Hey _____, how's it going? I am going back to LA tomorrow, and wanted to see if you'd like to hang out sometime. Another is a variation of this message, but includes a little comment about her recent eye operation. She can see without glasses now. "Hey _____, how's it going? How are your new eyes treating you? So I am going back to LA...."I am purposefully not asking for her phone number, as I figure that is self implied no? Thank you for your time, I really appreciate any help you could give me!

"Hey Allie, how’s it going? How are your new eyes treating you? I’ll be back in LA tomorrow, so can you give me your number? Mine is (310)-291-2598."

 I'm with Denise here, Bout giving her your number.
I like the upbeat approach, how are eyes treating you, as that shows your interested in how she has got on, and i think that you should definately add your number, telling her you'd like to get together and catch up.

 I think either of those are fine. She might like that you noted she had eye surgery recently and it went well. Shows concern as well as interest, on your part.
As for phone numbers I guess you COULD ask for her number - but better yet: why don't you give her yours and let her know you'd enjoy hearing from her.

 my vote is for the second message you wrote think it's nice to comment on her eye operation but I think you should put yourself out there a little by saying Im heading back to L.A on Friday and would like to see you before I go, are you free? Goodluck!
