Are you meaning you stopped your pills so when the condom broke you decided to start them again? If that's the case yes there can be a chance of pregnancy, as pills least take a months use to be covered. There are new options other than pills if you have a hard time remembering to take them. Yes, agreed. All you need to do is go in to the chemist and ask for the "morning after pill". You may not even have to pay for it.

Have a look at this URL for more information:

i understand your situation completly and will try and help you with my advice.

First of all Microgynon is a type/make of contraceptive pill.. therefore taking it this morning after the condom split last night will have no effect im afraid.

What you need to do is go to your GP, or local sexual health centre where they will ask you a few questions and then give you 'the moning after pill' this will stop you from being prgnant as long as you take it with in 72 hours of the condom breaking.

If you dont managre to take the morning after pill within 72 hours there is one other option, and that is to have a 'coil' fitted. A coil is a small device which can be easily inserted into the womb, and aslong as you do this within 7 days after the condom breaking then you should be safe.

The coil can be a long term form of birth controll, however if you prefer you can have it taken out after your next period.

i hope this helps, and try not to worry to much i thnk most women have been here :) all the best!

TELLULAH agony auntGo straight to the Chemist and get the morning after pill. The one you took (mycrogynon) will have no effect, it needs to be in your system for a couple of weeks to work.

Honestly its painless and it works XX
