But, will that make him think I'm too formal or girly?Would jeans be too tomboyish? What should I do?(Should I even wear make up?) Reply to this Question Share |

I ended up wearing a blue blouse and black skirt, and we went to a movie and a restaurant. Unfortunatly, we couldn't stand each other, but Que cera cera. ;P

i'de say that black pants (or a skirt... not too short) and a pretty top are the go. you might be running a risk of being too casual if you go with jeans (imagine if he takes you to a classy resturant!) but i think a dress would be fine. i mean you are a girl afterall so you can wear dresses.isnt it so annoying when guys do this! if you can, just ask him if its dressy or casual. he is more likely to say casual, but if he says dressy then you know he means business!good luck, and enjoy yourself!

Wear something that is comfortable and looks good on you. Put some light make up. If it is an official function, he should informed you.Guys don't realize this problem with girls. If you are still undecided , then ask him where you will be going.

You want to make a good impression don't you!!!Whatever about the clothes..i would def wear make up and have my hair looking fab!!If ye are going to a bar or a restaurant i would wear a dress. But keep in mind its still really wintery..so i'm thinking a black dress...but id wear tights or leggings under it with knee high boots. Not a very reveling dress either. A covered up one!!However if ye were going to the cinema or something it would be a different story!! A jeans, nice shirt and flat shoes would be the best option for this!!In the meantime if you find out where ye are going let me know and ill give you loadsa suggestions. Id love to help with all girly stuff ;)

Try and get some kind of idea where you are going, then you can decide whats appropriate to wear. I would say wear make up, if you usually do, just keep it a minimum if you want it to look natural. Have fun.

Hi,
Why not just ask him whether jeans or a dress is best for where you will be going? Often guys do not even think about what a girl would be best to wear so he is unlikely to be put off or upset in any way and would most likely be glad you thought to ask.
Go out and enjoy.

I think in an ideal world you should find out where you are going. If you can text/e-mail him, and make a joke of it, ("You know what us women are like" kind of thing) then so much the better.
If not, I would keep it smart casual. Perhaps dressy jeans, or dark trousers, with a classy top. Wear something that shows your personality but above all else, something you feel good in. Dont do anything drastic with your hair or buy anything new the night before. If you can ask a friend who will give you an *honest* opinion, you know you are on the right track if they like what you are wearing.
If you usually wear make up when you go out, then wear it, but leave yourself a bit of extra time in case you are nervous and it goes wrong!
In general, the more time you have to get ready the better. And you can take the pressure off slightly because its not a totally blind date, which mine was!
Enjoy yourself!
