Something special that you talked about at the time. Then think of something relating to that time, this is how good memories are made. Its not the money its letting him know he made you happy when "the event happened". And you have not forgotten.

If you are ever in his room or house, have a little scan about to see if he has left any hints. thats what im doing for my boyfriend, i want him to get me a certain charm for my bracelet so i left the bracelet catalogue on my desk open at the page of the charm i like :P
