And he suddenly got really quiet and just said softly "what is your definition of love? When your definition of love is mature enough, you will understand why i do not want to get married."So i am really confused about what he said and asked another female teacher closer to him. And she said something along this line, he had been scar-ed and have very bad relationship experiences. So what is your definition of love, especially after your heart have been broken. Being willing to be in pain so the person you love is happy....
giving up some of your needs and wants to be with a person..
accepting that it's not perfect but that it's "good enough"

love is a decision you make, and a place you have in your heart for another person. a place that sometimes causes hurt, pain, and sometimes causes joy.
love is giving of yourself, even if it leaves you feeling vulnerable to wounds of the heart. love is not selfish but giving.
love comes with risk of being hurt, or rejected. but love comes with feelings also. the feeling of not wanting to be away from that person, a feeling of wanting to spend all your time with them, to spend your life with them.
love sometimes means over looking, and forgiving faults, weakness, mistakes, failures of the one we love. love is also sharing and giving, not only of gifts but of ones self.
that is my view of love.

love is when you want to make someone happy and making them happy makes you happy. hopefully they feel the same way. otherwise its a disaster.

To me love is extreme pain and blinding care. Forgiving the unethical and suffering through absence of the prime subject. To me love is something that a lot would want to experience but very few can keep it alive.

My definition of love is that I feel more comfortable with the person than anyone else in the world. I can share anything without judgement and vice a versa.
There is empathy and there is respect. On both sides.
There is even willingness to give some space. On both sides.
As well as a peace and 'all's right with the world' when the person walks into the room
