All middle age man have some change in their sex drive, and general sexual function, or there are man, who are not affected at all? They talk about man, who slows down, losing interest, and have erection problems, yet there are 70 year old man ,with strong sex drive and all. Doctors say it is hormones, but all man will have drop in their hormone levels, so it is not really the case. I also heard about large man ,who is doing great, yet some athletic, healthy man can't get it up anymore in their 50 's . What is the truth, what is false?

As others have correctly said, there is a myriad of factors affecting a man's sexual health and desire as we age. For instance, I'm a man now in my 60s having no problems with the equipment, or desire, but heart problems caused by two heart attacks adversely affects stamina. In my case, woman-on-top and mutual oral has proved a good solution when opportunity arises . . .

I still have sex or masterbate once or twice a day most of the time, and I typically have erections very easily when I'm with my gf. But, my sex drive is not nearly as all-consuming and urgent as it used to be.
To some extent, I think my drive is now somewhat more mental than the raw physical desire it used to be.
That's just my experience, I think it varies quite a bit for different men. But, I don't know for sure because I don't ask my guy friends how their erections are.

Stress, hormones, cigarettes, alcohol, other drugs, partner's health, etc, all have an effect.
Some men drop off their libido when their partner has a drop.
Other men it has nothing to do with their libido overall, but their ego overall, and they are trying desperately to prove they are not getting to be "less" than they were.
The important thing is that they are comfortable with their situation and that their partner is as well.

You have a few things that effect male libido.
1-General Physical Health.
2-Mental Health
3-Genetics
Some men do have high libidos their entire lives, but age DOES taper it down over time.
Each man is a unique person, with their own chemistry, history and mind. It is between that man, his Doctor and his lover to address what kind of sex life is desired.
The good news is, there are more treatment options that EVER to help a man and a couple enjoy a healthy sex life again. You just need to be willing to see what is available!

There are simply far too many variables when it comes to loss of male libido. Actually, what makes it confusing is that people try to generalize it, when each man who suffers from loss of libido has entirely his own reasons. From low blood pressure, to high blood pressure, to stress, heart conditions, illness, tiredness all the way to changes in hormone and age, there are simply too many reasons that men lose libido.
One thing is for sure - men who do suffer from it should always seek medical help.
