I know that isn't what you wanted to hear but with any form of contraception, there are risks of stil getting her pregnant. For example, you used a condom & it split! I would reccommend her getting on the pill, and you watch her take it every day b/c a lot of females lie or forget to take the pill. Then use a back up form of b.c. such as spermicidal foam. Always use a back up.

I just looked this up for another question. It's a table with the rates of pregnancy for various birth-control methods: http://www.fda.gov/Fdac/features/1997/conceptbl.htmlIf she's willing, the birth control pill is 99% effective.

It depends on the person or couple. What is most popular is the pill as well as the condom. This gives you a much higher safety level taking both than just using a condom which may split. Talk to your girlfriend about it, see what she wants. Take care in choosing! For best condoms, again it depends on the person. Ask your mates see what they use. Just get some friendly adviceGood Luck. The best sort of contraception is one that works best for you...everyone is different in their preferences. I would suggest you go to a family planning clinic for some advice and take your GF too.
