Can I just add, that if you use vaseline or mineral oil as a lubricant with condoms you can weaken the rubber in the condom effecting its integrity. NEVER USE A PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCT WITH A CONDOM.
Also, using mineral oil or vaseline may cause a reaction in women. Both of these petroleum based products are not recommended for use internally. Stick to products that are specifically designed for use with condoms and internal use. If all else fails, read the pack.

I presume you are using condoms, (if not, then you should) so make sure that whatever you buy is water based. It will usually say on the packaging that it is suitable for use with condoms. Oily lubricants like baby oil, butter, vaseline etc will degrade the fabric of the condom and it will split. Quite apart from that, you want to feel slippery, not greasy! If you have sensitive skin, then you should probably avoid lubes with special effects, like warming or tingling lubes. I used "Durex Heat," and it was more like "Durex OMG this burns getitoffme!"

"Have you tried Boots?" "No, I want it to slide in, not march in."

lubricant is something that your body produces naturally, generally referred to as getting 'wet'. You can also use a sythetic lubricant like k-y jelly that you can purchase at the drug store in the family planning section. This is the area you will find condoms, foam, ovulation kits and lotions and lubes.

It is a gel or liquid to smooth the friction during sex. Makes it easier to have sex... by making the penis slippery. Substitutes can be like mineral oil, um... but don't use oil with condoms! the oil eats away and tears the condom. (NO PREGNANCIES!) it's easily bought in the isle with condoms/women's personal care stuff. You only need a small (pea sized) amount, but experiment a little. There's different kinds, for sensitive women, warming gel for more excitement, and such. It is also used in masturbation. Basically, when a woman is turned on, her body produces a natural lubricant... If a woman is 'dry' instead of 'wet' it could be because she isn't turned on, she has a possible medical issue (rare case) or some post-menopausal women, as they get older, stop producing so much lubrication. So, if someone said you need lube (because they've had sex with you?), you can retort, 'if you turned me on more, I wouldn't need it'- hehe... sorry! Always practice safe sex, (please be careful at 16-17!) and when you do choose a partner, (after a long time of dating hopefully) make sure you don't need much lube, if any at all... hehehe

The doctors recommend K-Y Jelly. Other things some people use are lotion and vaseline. I think lotion would irritate a female down there, but not sure if vaseline would or not.
