Or is this the wrong because of the fame factor? (a number of women liking a guy seems to draw more women into liking him)Ultimately I want to know... What is hot? If every woman likes different things in a guy, does that mean a 3/10 will get a 10, just by approaching a lot of hot women? Reply to this Question Share |

The entertainment industry has done a grave disservice to the average man and woman. They've given us an unrealistic image to try and live up to, in order to be considered "attractive" to the opposite sex. The fact is, beauty has and always will be in the eye of the beholder. What one person finds attractive, someone else may be completely turned off by.

The problem with society is that people don't understand it. I have a friend who refuses to believe it, even though me and another friend think all the people she finds attractive are unattractive.

Nope, TV/ magazine/ Hollywood has really helped to establish what is considered HOT, the media in general has constructed a stereotype of beauty for both men and women, and while it does influence some people, for others the attractiveness they see in a man has nothing to do with what they see in magazines ( I for one find guys who are leaner hot, and seriously you won't see a skinny guy on the cover of man's health, and yet I find it attractive) . What we see in magazines is undeniably attractive but is also air brushed within an inch of their lives, and you just see a picture and to me I find so many other things attractive in a man other than just his looks, tone of voice, attitude, intelligence, good manners, accomplished...

Hot is the expression used when someone immediately finds the person very physically attractive. In other word it is where at first glance, knowing nothing else about the person they turn you on.

You can ask this question of 100 women and get 100 different answers. This is all in the eye of the beholder. Most women aren't as appearance focused as men--our libido doesn't necessarily start in our eyeballs, like it seems to in men.
I don't understand what your last question means. What is a 3/10 and what is the 10 he would receive by approaching a lot of hot women?
This is also age-dependent. A 70 year old guy may find many women closer to his age 'hot' while a 20 year old would have a smaller range he finds 'hot.'
I expect in order to be in the running to be considered 'hot' the guy should be height/weight proportionate (not obese or overweight), with a waist slimmer than his shoulders, features in reasonably pleasing proportions, well-groomed and nicely dressed, not smelly. Clean teeth and nails essential. Accomplished at something is good too. Some women like lots of muscles, others like leaner, some women like a guy who is big and hunky. It's all individual, really.
Watching TV and looking at magazines basically tells you who the media consider to be 'hot.' It doesn't mean that's how women view the local men who aren't celebs.
Is there some sort of puzzle you are trying to solve?
