So, you could orgasm many times in one long session of sex or masturbation. Or you could have many orgasms in a day. So basically it's when you have an orgasm, calm down, let your clitoris and vagina rest and then are able to stimulate yourself or be stimulated again to one or more orgasms in a row.
What you'll find is that the more you do this, the more often you need two or more orgasms to feel truly satisfied.

A multiple orgasm is having more than one orgasm during lovemaking. Orgasms are quite exhausting and can leave the clitoris and vagina quite tender to the touch, but many women can recover quite quickly and become stimulated enough to have another and another after a brief respite. There is a small percentage of men who are able to do the same, but for the most part, multiple orgasms are generally something a woman experiences.

I've copied and pasted for you ~ parts of my answer from last month when someone asked what an orgasm was.....
(20 March 2008):
If the muscles in your genitals contract rhythmically causing you to make uncontrolled movements and experiencing around 3 to 6 contractions, then I would class that as a mild orgasm.
It sometimes depends on how much you are aroused, because you could have as many as 10 to 15 or even more contractions, and if you are, then what I would say to you....{apart from "you lucky girl"}....is, you are experiencing a multiple orgasm.
Nice : )
I find it hard, in a way, to give a proper description of what an orgasm really feels like...It can be feelings of deep intense sensations that rush through your whole body, giving you that split second blood rush to your head almost to the point where your body is going into light spasms but at the same time leaving you with a very weird sort of calming pleasure.
{I do hope i'm not putting some girls off, trust me, it's an 'out of this world experience'}.
I've been told many times ~ when describing an orgasm and then comparing that moment with when a guy orgasms, that our sensual feelings are exactly the same.
Doubtless to say, you will know when you're having an orgasm or even a multiple one, because the experience is unique, and one that you will never get bored of.
Enjoy!

reader, anonymous, writes (28 April 2008): Why, this is interesting, doing some research I found three definitions, one of which, as Mandy says, refers to prolonged sensations. This sounds rather strange to me, as the word 'prolonged' suggests a moment lasting longer than usual, you tell me what is usual and unusual in lovemaking! MY definition actually says climaxing several times in a rather narrow interval / in the same place. And finally, two types of orgasm occurring simultaneously, for example g spot and clitoridean. Have your pick! It is very probable it's a controversial phrase and people have attached different meanings to it. All the best.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 April 2008): I always understood this as when you have one orgasm, and then pretty soon afterwards you have another, and then maybe another after that. Some women do get very sensitive down there, so don't worry, I don't think you have a problem or anything! :]
