But there is this school dance and all of the boys ask the girls to go with them. This dance is nothing special just a family dance at our school. My mom is really nice and all but she says that if this guy ever asked me out I have to say I don't knOw and then talk to her before I say yes. All of my friends are saying he is going to ask me out but it is embrassing to say I don't know so what is a creative way to say I don't know to a guy that asks you out. I definitely want to go with him I just need to tell my mom first Reply to this Question Share |

Just say "oh, I don't know, I'll have to think about that. Heres my number call/text me tonight, yeah?" Go home and discuss it with your mum then tell him the answer when he calls you. It will make your mum happy, keep him wanting more AND its a great excuse for him to call you so you can talk some more!
Good luck! :') xxx

Why the need to be creative ? just tell him: I'd really like it , but I have to ask my mom first.
There's nothing embarassing, you are under 15 ,! it's NORMAL that your mom should know first, and be OK with, a guy who wants to take you out !

"This is so lame to admit but my mom made me promise to say "I don't know" and I'll have to check with her before I can say 'yes' to a date. I want to go with you but unfortunately I have to clear it with her first. Lame, I know. Sad, I know. But there it is. I have a sad lame Mom who needs me to check in with her with this."
