 Take a leap. Nothing wrong with being in this position. Maybe you didn't find the right person. From personal experience I've learned that when you really connect with a person then nerves just go away.
At more than one time we all have to jump out of our comfort zone, if we didn't then I highly doubt that a lot of us would be in relationships.

 You are in a bad position in life at the moment. You might need to take some risks and get hurt sometimes. You will get rejected. You will get hurt. But you've got to do it. Otherwise, you'll be much older in the same situation, except feeling even worse.
I'm sorry. I went through the same thing and it really is horrible. And people don't care. You care. And you have to take control of your life or you will just become a pawn of fate.
