I love the hair. Makes a man a man. If a man doesent have hair i would not talk to him i think no hair is a huge turnoff

A male reader, anonymous, writes (16 February 2011):

I guess, since there are all the penis size, hair, and other physical attributes posters here, we should finally clarify the question of what constitutes the ideal partner for a woman.

Yes, they have hair, on their heads as well as their bodies, they don't care about penis size all that much, and a new one makes them forget about all the ones before as long as the relationship is good, they are friendly, like to lounge around in the bed, on the couch, and are affectionate.

If a woman had to choose her ideal mate, what would it be looking like....see below.

A female reader, kirra07 Canada +, writes (16 February 2011):

If I'm at the beach and I have the choice to stare at a smooth tanned chest as opposed to an intensely fuzzy one, I'll choose the smooth one. But once I get to know someone, I'm perfectly happy with the hair. My fiance has a fuzzy chest, tummy, and even shoulders (thankfully not extensive back hair). He used to shave it, but then when it grew back it would be prickly and itchy, and it made unattractive red bumps. I much prefer him keeping the hair: it's nice and soft and really, I've gotten so used to it that I like it now.

But please trim or shave certain areas, it makes for much easier access. Other than that, don't worry, for most women it shouldn't be a big deal.

Gimme a guy that looks like a gorilla any day over a guy who behaves like one, however good looking he is.

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (16 February 2011):

CindyCares agony aunt Personally, I absolutely hate it. With a vengeance. It's true, like Chigirl mentions, that in Europe it's not such a big deal ( even if shaving it off is becoming more and more popular ) -and my comment is : at least Americans got THIS right !

Sorry OP ,in case you are a furry creature . You asked, and I answered.Let me precise though that I don't say body hair is a deal breaker- insofar NO physical detail is a deal breaker if the guy is smart, nice, personable and reasonably lookable at in general. Women are not really as picky and superficial as men fear them to be,so basically you don't have to worry.

A reader, anonymous, writes (16 February 2011):

I don't mind it. I have seen some men who have serious pelts...they are literally brushable.

In the winter it can be cute, endearing, and kind of nice to the touch.

The only draw back is in the summer, they have the tendency to trap oil and moisture on the skin and start to smell bad more quickly, but it's nothing a shower can't take care of.

In general, I tend to think hair is sexy on a man, facial and otherwise, and I don't like it when they try to wax or shave it off.

A reader, anonymous, writes (16 February 2011):

Personally, chest hair is fine but I'm not a fan of a lot of back hair on men but it's not a deal breaker. I found out after I fell in love that those things just don't seem as important as they used to. He's got a few strange stray hairs but I hardly notice them.

But if you're asking for purely aesthetic purposes, back hair is a no go, a TON of chest hair is a no go, but a little bit of chest hair is perfectly fine.

A female reader, chigirl Norway +, writes (16 February 2011):

chigirl agony auntIt's great!

But Im European, and it's ben brought to my attention that while we like it natural over here, on the American continent you shave it all off.

But yes, body hair on a man is great. Leave it as is, all else is superficial and feminine and off-putting. You can trim your bush and beard, but leave it at that.
