writes: If a friend says they'll do something with you with you, but then cancels plans at the last minute to spend time with their partner, (who the friend complains completely takes them for granted), how many times should you allow this to happen before you stop counting them as a 'friend'? Hey Buddy, close the book on this one. If your friend stands you up, and provides you with a lame excuse like this one, relegate this friend to acquaintance status and move on to a new friend. If this friend is a true friend, they will come around wanting an explanation why you no longer call and you can explain. If they truly care, they will move heaven and earth to make amends. Trust me. Been there, done that.
