 I would reccomend a small vibator/massauger, something that isn't for penetration so that you both can enjoy it. I don't know what the are actually called but they are about the size of a finger and you can get them water proff for the shower. If you want it to be a surprise then just go to a sex shop and describe the thing that you are interested in, they are very helpful there and I'm sure that they will help you pick something good out.

 Toys are fun. I would say go with the good old vibrator. Take her to a sex shop as a surprise one night and pick one out together. It would be best to let her make part of the decision since she will probably use it alone as well.
