dragonette agony auntExpensive doesn't always mean meaningful. If you put a lot of thought into your present it will mean more to him than if you had bought him something expensive, but easy to find.

As for WHAT to get him, you need to think about what he likes.

If he has some kind of special interest you can get him a book on the subject (I've noticed that a lot of guys don't like reading fiction, but will enjoy a good fact book from time to time).

If he likes music, get him some cd that you think he'd enjoy.

If you know his sizes you can get him a T-shirt that you think would look cool on him (just keep the tags on it, in case it doesn't fit him so he can exchange it for something else in the store).

If he's the type to wear accessories for guys, you can make one for him using a bit of leather and something neat to hang on it that connects with his interests (I gave one of these once to a guy that liked computers: http://www.halenius.net/done_snakestone.jpg).

And remember, the best way to show him that you care is not by giving him presents (even though he will appreciate it, for sure), but to be your own charming self tell him that you care.

JulietteElise agony auntbake him some cookies!!! thats what i did for my first b/f on our first heart day, and i put them in a paper bag i had decorated, and had cut a heart out of which i then coverd by tapeing some pink plastic wrap to the back (inside) of so when you looked at the bag it looked like there was a cute little pinkish heart window that the cookies showed through (i did tollhouse and pillsbury sugar cookies that had hearts on them when sliced). Guys love food, its a cute idea, and it shows you care since you went to the trouble to bake it all. you can always add anouther gift to this as well, but this is a good start.

otherwise, if you want it to be meaningful, find out what types of things he likes. The present dousn't have to be related to hearts and cupids and love after all :0) if he loves sports, maybe, if you can aford it, get both of you tickets to a game, or a jersey. Whatever he likes a lot, he'll be sure to love a gift relateing to it. It's probably best not to go to overboard though, esspically if you are eachother's first b/fs g/fs and havent been together too long yet. Makeing a card yourself would be sweet (have fun makeing the heart you past on it all lacy like you would a snowflake by folding it a lot and cutting it up here and there) and maybe even use sparkaly paper and cut out smaller hearts, or whatever, so they fall out when he opens the card like confettie (a mess maker, but intresting). Also, think of something silly or unique, like a small gumball machine or a toy, since heart day dosunt have to be all serious with flowers and candy. However... why not get him some flowers and candy too? some guys really like getting flowers, as weird as that may seem.

good luck! have fun! there's lots of websites with gift ideas too if you need more :0)
