I am good at walking up to girls and starting to talk, where as he is good at talking to them for a long time, and generally hooking up with them. I tend to get bored and move over to try talk to new girls. Because of this he end up hooking up alot and i not so much. Well lately i have been trying to actually stay a little longer and get there numbers but everytime he will snake me in some way. For example, talking to the amazing girl, he interupts the convo to ask for her number. Then later claims it was for me! Bull S**t right? Well the final straw as last night, we where out, and this girl starts flirting with me, everything going great. He then pushes in starts talking to her, flirting hugely. She was still interested in me, So i pulled him aside and asked what he thought he was doing, he says sorry. we go back inside and he just carries on. Well i threw in the towel and left. He stayed. What kind of a "friend" does that. Now, in my career, i am pretty successful, where as he is not yet. Could he be jealous of that so he wants to beat me when it comes to girls. Also i am not a huge fan of one night stands, so i wont pull in right in the beginning of the night, where as he has been know to kiss 5 girls in one night. We are 26. i thought that was pretty childish. Thoughts????

 Perhaps if you found a long term and meaningful relationship you wouldn't have to go sniffing round every girl you meet in a club?
Honestly, your question portrays you as a Jack The Lad.
Anyway, as for your friend? He's just playing the game too, trying to get off with as many girls as possible. He doesn't care two iotas for their feelings so why are you surprised that he doesn't respect you either?
Come to think of it, how do you think these girls see you and your friend? Don't you think they may well be thinking you are a pair of wide boys?
You're playing a game. Stop it and be serious and you'll find something worth having. When that happens, no amount of interference from your friend will get in the way.
Sorry to be so harsh but, having been a professional Agony Uncle for over ten years, I like to tell it how I see it.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 November 2012): Clearly he is in competition with you. A mate / wingman doesnt act that way. Talk with him before you go to a party and be blunt that his behavior is effecting your friendship.
If your style works for you, why change? If you. want more Hookups, learn from him as it seems to work for him.
