But this morning I have strange light-brown discharge. It doesn't have much of an odor, but I'm very concerned as I've never had this before; the only time I have light brown discharge is before my period. But I am not due to have it for another week and a half and it's pretty regular as I am taking oral contraceptives. The guy did not ejaculate inside of me. The sex was fairly rough, so I suppose it could be bleeding from slight internal injury, but could it be an STD? I know the symptoms of most STD's don't show up for a long time, but I'm still worried. What could this be?

chances are that if the sex was rought then the friction of his penis might have caused a little bleeding.
if it happens again then it wouldn't hurt to get checked out by the doctor.
and i agree if you din't use a condom then you should definately see a doctor just to be on the safe side.
but most like there is nothing to worry about.
xx.

You have probably just stimulated your uterus and caused a little menstrual-like discharge.
Vigorous sex can even stimulate the release of an egg on occasion!
The only concern that I have is IF you didn't use a condom.
STD's wouldn't cause immediate bleeding.
But not using a condom, every time, as your BACK UP contraceptive, THAT is the thing that prevents STD's. And keeps you fertile. ALWAYS use TWO birth control methods, including a barrier - CONDOM or FEMIDOM - until you are planning a pregnancy and a family.
If you did not use a condom - get tested.
