A male reader, Dalmatian United States +, writes (30 January 2010):

My wife had severe morning sickness with our third child.

She was actually placed in a hospital for three days.

The reason was dehydration. IV therapy - that added huge amounts of liquid to her system. This did cure the

morning sickness. Severe morning sickness can place the

child at high risk. See a Doctor soon! Stay hydrated!!!

sarcy24 agony auntI am sorry you are feeling like this. Constant nausea is just terrible. Ginger is good and peppermint tea and eating dry crackers can also help.

Honeygirl agony auntHun, I found that eating grated apples helped a lot.. got something to do with the pectin in the fruit.

Otherwise some anti-nausea medication which you will have to get from your dr.. something that is safe for pregnant women..

Not My Name agony auntDunno how much truth to it, but I read somewhere that Vit B deficiencies caused a lot of morning sickness.

I started taking vitamins before getting pregnant and wether connected or not I can't say for sure, but I never had a moment of nausea.

Ask a Dr or midwife tho, ..they should know all sorts of tips for this type of thing.
