I met this guy a bit ago while out with friends and he was very outgoing, maintained eye contact, etc. But when I saw him the other day, while I was out with the same friends, he seemed different; didn't look at me much while either of us were talking, got completely quiet at times, etc. The girls I was with know him well, and he's never really at a loss for words... and they know nothing was going on to distract him (personal issues or the like). He acted normal around everyone else. I'm a people pleaser, and I can't help but think I put him off in some way... though I'm not sure how that would happen, I'm quite quiet around new people until I get to know them better. BUT, he did flirt with me a little. So I'm curious if there are any fairly specific reasons why a guy can do a 180 from confident and almost cocky around others, to silent around a single girl... ?!

Could be that he likes you, or not.

it sounds to me that he really likes you. the question is., do you like him? if you do, maybe you could get ur friends to introduce u probably. but fromwhat you said, the way he acting, is how i get when i like a guy. i go quiet, but only round him, tend to ignore him, then fine over txts to him after. so if you like him,ask him out, what have you got to lose?
