Yeah - this is pretty common. I think one of the reasons people have kids is to have something to discuss. It works for 20 years, then they look at each other and go "so...".
Maybe join a club? Toastmasters? Take up a sport? Book club? Evening cooking class? Make some friends and visit them? Honestly, I have no idea either.
Thing is, if there's nothing to talk about then your life is a bit bland. Being without this guy won't change that. Maybe finding another guy would, but only for a while. Finding something to do with yourself is one of the problems of adulthood.
