I'm not a big fan of dating sights because they dont show off my best feature which is my personality and humor. Any ideas? Reply to this Question Share |

Dancing is way fun too, as the other guy responded.
Want to know a very random place I've heard a lot of people have met? The grocery store, haha. Not sure if it works, but couldn't hurt.
Other than that, look online and sign up for things you like, such as hiking, reading clubs, dance clubs, cooking, or volunteer. Pretty much anything that is social, and that you can be in a group doing.
Good luck, just stay positive and you'll meet people in no time!

Well, I don't know what things are like there in the US but here in the UK one of the best ways to meet single women is Salsa dancing... An informal evening where you go along, have a laugh, learn a bit of Salsa and dance with various partners and casual drinks afterward.
I haven't done this myself, although I'm told to give it a try ALL the timeby female friends/colleagues.
Is there something similar there?
Alternatively, another good place is through group activities. Do you have any interests/hobbies where you can join a club? You'll meet people there with similar interests (obviously).
Again, you can just be really open minded and pretty much go to anything... I've always wanted to learn to cook properly. I get by, but it would be nice to be able to cook amazing food (like my Mum's!). I could enroll in an evening cookery course and meet people that way?
I'm sure there are group events, clubs you can join, go to things like comedy nights for example or BBQs, fairs, fetes, exhibitions. You can mingle that way. Drama classes? In fact, the more I think about it, the more ideas I can come up with. There's loads of things you can do and it's all a question of being a bit open minded and getting out there and just giving it a whirl.
It's also a great time to try and experience things you've never done before. You might well pick up new interests and hobbies too.
