We've always been good friends but he rejected my friend request!

HI i've been known this guy all my life hes more like a big brother but we have never been that close seen each other now and then hes 21 im 18, i saw him the other night we had a quick chat and then went our sepparate ways, so then i saw his facebook i added him as a friend and he rejected me? hes a bit of a joker like his dad and may have done it to annoy me but i dont know? im feeling a bit worried about it i dont know why?
