We're trying to have a baby. How reliable are home tests?

Hi i need some advice. My boyfriend and I are trying for a baby. We had unproctected sex on the 7th 8th and 9th of november.

My period was due ab 5 days ago. I have taken a test today and it was negative, however i was wondering is there still a chance i could be pregnant?

I have needed to go the toilet alot more in the last few days I know this is probabaly in my head as symptons like these normaly dont show up for weeks right? also I hve got an awful lot of spots in the last few weeks which I never get could that be anything to do with it? advice really needed/

The best thing is to take the test at least three times. Sometimes, though this is rare, the results can be false.

Then you go to the doctor to confirm beyond all doubt.

yeah you could be pregnant. i know alot of people who have done home tests and it was negative but when they went to the doctors it turns out they are. best thing to do is go to the doctors and they will tell you if you are or not. good luck x

texas_princess agony auntTotally possible. I have a gf with 3 kids and every single pregnancy the "pee" tests were negative and it took going to the Dr for a blood test! Good luck and keep us posted!
