We're both still reluctant because of the consequences. Should we wait till we are both ready or should we go ahead and get it over with?

Oral sex is really not all that bad (talking from experience). Its safer than actually having intercourse and theres no risk of you falling pregnant. It will be weird at first, but you will come to enjoy it and it gets better with practise. Personally, I love performing oral on my man, it drives him nuts and I love it! Good luck! And please don't rush into anything your not ready for.

~pretty angel~ is verified as being by the original poster of the questionOk, this goes back to what he told me a few weeks back that we wouldn't do anything we weren't ready for and to be quite honest I don't think we're quite comfortable with it just yet. And I think I might do some research before we do anything ^_^.

Hmmm "get it over with"?? A person who is ready to do it wouldn't choose to phrase a question like that. It's like you want to do something you think will hurt or will be uncomfortable. Someone who is ready would never phrase it by saying they just want to get it over with.
I think you should rethink if you're really ready or not.

Everyone always makes out like you have to have a "dental dam" and a condom every time you have oral sex, but honestly I've never used them and i don't know of anyone who does. There's a risk, sure, but a miniscule one. Just make sure you don't have any open sores/cold sores and obvious stuff like that, and obviously keep any cum away from where it matters and you should be fine. But also - you don't need to "get it over with"... you're young so it's not a big deal to put it off until you're more comfortable.Good luck, and good on you for doing some research before jumping into something new :)
