A female United States age 30-35, *elizabethx writes:

okay, three weeks ago, i lost my virginity to my boyfriend of some time. we used a condom, and he pulled out before he ejaculated.

i was supposed to start my period yesterday and.. i didn't. today: nothing either. i'm very worried. i'm 15, and i have my whole life ahead of me. i've been urinating more usually and having headaches. i have slight cramps that very similar to my menstrual cramps. i've told my boyfriend about this, and he said he checked the condom at least 3 times to see if it broke or tore, and he reasurred me that he pulled out, so even if it did break, it didn't get inside of me.

my question is could i be pregnant? i'm worried.

If you just recently started having sex for the first time, your body chemistry could be changing. That could cause your period to be late or even skip a whole month!

Happy to hear you are going to the clinic on Monday.

Take good care of yourself and your health.

thanks for the answer, guys. i really appreciate them. i understand that "i am way too young to have sex," "i am much too immature to have sex," or the ever popular, "my mother doesn't know i'm having sex." i respect your answers. it's my "idiotic" choice. i will get a pregnancy test asap, and i'm going to the local clinic on monday. thanks. xx

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 July 2008):

How old are you?

Do you have consent from your parent to have sex? I doubt?

Please, yo are playing with lifes here; you can destroy your life, your future; your boyfriends and bringing a child into this world unwanted; vow, is that not just a big GAMBLE and RISK; all of that for SEX??????

OKAY, now after the harsh but from the HEART words; I doubt that you are pregnant; the more the worry and stress; it might have a delay on your periods too; however; if you are more then one week late; have a pregnancy test done;

I am happy and relieved to hear that you did use a condom;

always use a CONDOM; not just to avoid an unwanted pregnancy but also to avoid STD's and AIDS;

I suggest that if you are sexually active you also start using the birth controll pill.

I honestly think you need to relax; stop stressing; I hope your periods start soon;

Good luck and best wishes

It depends on the age of the guy. Take a pregnacy test, & as far as I think is that you shouldn't even of had a sexual matter with anybody.

Usually guy's that are under 17 or 18 can't produce eanough sperm.

birdynumnums agony auntIt's probably pretty unlikely, Hun, but you should take an over-the-counter pregnancy test five or six days before the date that your next period is due. Use you first pee of the morning, it has the most pregnancy hormones in it.

You are better off being on the pill AND using a condom. Condoms have a failure rate of 3-14% under normal usage. The pill is more like 97-99% effective.

If you aren't in a position to have a child yet and your whole life is ahead of you, should you be having sex at your young age? I would reconsider either the sex or your contraceptive measures, Hunny.

link2067 agony auntThis is something that normally happens the first time you have sex, people are afraid that they are pregnant at the first sign of something strange. In all honesty you could be pregnant and you couldnt be. The only way to know is if you take a prenancy test. Honestly because of your age Im not sure if you should be having sex..I didnt loose my virginity until I was 25 and even still I think that sex is something that should be reserved until you are capable of bringing a child into this world and loving, caring, nurturing it like you should. If you arent ready for a child then you may not be ready for sex either, thats kinda what its for. Express your concerns to your boyfriend and if he cares for you, he "should" respect your opinions.
