If you had sex with him the first time you met him he's going to assume that that is all you wanted.
He's also probably lost respect for you as men have MASSIVE double standards about this kind of thing.
Leave him to it and if he doesn't call again then it's his loss.
All you can do is accept your mistake and learn from it. Next time you meet a guy make sure you meet up and date for a while before taking him back to your place, let alone having sex with him.

If you feel that his explanation is a lie/crock, well then he doesn't want you.
