I happened to return to the same city as hers after these 20 years. She, now a wife and a mother, found out about me and met me. But she rarely phones or messages. However, on one occasion, she replied to a message with "thanks dear". What is up? Reply to this Question Share |

Well, she is 20 years more mature now. She probably thinks of you as an old friend, or love interest from the past. What was she replying to? I don't think it means anything.. she was probably just saying it to be extra nice for whatever you said that she thanked you for... Its kinda hard to give the advice when we don't know what you texted her. xx

She's a mom, she's busy. You can't expect her to wait around for your call, she has a family to be taking care of.

I'm positive she said that in a friendly way. Men have their nicknames for other men (eg. Brothers, man, dude etc) and not all men use them. Women are the same, we have nicknames for men and women aswell (eg. hun, dear, sweety etc) its just friendly terms.
