Sometimes being comfortable with a "silence" is a good thing...the more you stress over what to say the weirder the whole interaction will become. Breathe! Then go with Tremor's OQG...it's fun!!

It's a good idea, do things like that, or you could try seeing what your opinions are on 'why are we here' or 'what made the big bang happen?' .. I like questions like that they can keep you talking for hours, but then that's just my opinion!
Although if it's right and if you 2 are a good match, you shouldn't have to fish around too much for a conversation, but I understand what you mean, sometimes there is a nervousness when you like someone!
So keep us updated! Best of luck!

It depends on what you have been talking about. I'd assume that during the first week, there would have been a lot of 'getting to know you' type talk - what you like, dislike, learning about each other, etc. Once you know these things it can get difficult to keep a conversation going.
The old 'how was your day' can be a good for a while, but the time does come when you need to be more creative with your conversation topics. As you talk about more diverse things, you will get to know one another better, and conversation will be easier.
One technique I always liked as a fallback is what I call the 'Obscure Question Game'. It's self explanitory- you think up some odd questions to ask one another. One of my personal favourites is "If you were a sandwich, what kind would you be?". Find out why, for example, he'd prefer to be tuna over chicken. Be creative!
Sometimes the strangest things can lead to interesting conversations.
Of course, make sure your partner /knows/ you're playing the OQG, else they'll just think you're a nutter with a sandwich obsession. =)
Good luck!
