When your next period is due if you dont get it on the day, Wait a week, some test do say you can do it the day your period is due but its best to wait for a week as the hormone will be stronger hunny, I found you this link good luck....

Do you know when you ovulate? ie. Do you take your bbt (basal body temperature) in the morning or test for an LH surge to determine when ovultation takes place? If you do, you could start testing from 10 daus post ovulation, daily until your period is due (bit this is quite expensive).
If not, which I presume is the case, test on the day that you period is due to come, if it doesn't come. Also, always use first morning urine as your levels of pregnancy hormone (HCG) is more concentrated and more likely to be picked up.
If your periods are irregular, wait for about 19 days after the last time that you had unprotected sex (if you still don't have a period) and it should give you an accurate result.

Try two weeks past your due date for your period to start, if you dont start, if you know what i mean, or wait until the date of your second failed period. Can you give me a bit more information because i dont know what anon aunt is getting at?????
