I'm a little confused because while the conversation seemed to go well, it was left open ended. In some ways I feel like I may have been politely fobbed off. I don't get it, I didn't ask for his number, he offered it and his responses via text were instantaneous. So why do I have a bad feeling about this?

Text him whenever you want, don't wait by the phone for a call which may or may not come.
The whole 2 day rule is ridiculous.

Def call..its more personal, genuine, and sincere imo cause you can hear the persons voice. Invite the guy out for coffee or drinks and if things go well...maybe time for a date??
Kind Regards
