If she's over 18 and able to make her own decisions, then she should be making her own feelings heard with her grandmother. If she can't or won't stand up to her grandmother, then she isn't ready for a relationship and you'd only waste time waiting around. If she's an adult, then she can make her feelings heard and do her own thing. If she won't do her own thing, don't wait around because you'll just end up hurt anyway.
