We broke up but I can't function without her

Question - (30 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 30 January 2009)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My Girlfriend and I broke up back in october. She told me she wanted a break but when i asked her how long she said we should just be friends right now. The reason is because she said she had school and work to deal with and didn't want to put me on the backburner. I told her I didn't mind as long as I had her. Months have passed and I still talk to her just about everyday. I asked her last week if she still felt the same way about me as she did when we were together. She said yeah but she just couldn't deal with a relationship right now(because of school and work). I also hung out for the first time in four months last week too and during that time I realized that im in love with her. I haven't told her I love her yet. Each day I get worse and worse as if I cant really function without her. What should I do?

NeverGoodEnough agony aunti think its natural to feel like that when somebody has been such a big part of your life for so long.

Just give it time, try and keep yourself busy and not think about her, go out with friends, etc
