We got a friend of ours who is a man to put his sperm in a cup then with a needleless syringe i sucked up the sperm and within 2 minutes i injected the sperm into my vigina. Im now 4 weeks pregant. What i want to know is there a high chance that my unborn child could be born with a problem/disability. because we used a syringe and not a mans penics could the sperm be damage befor it entered the vigina. There is no history on both sides of family of any disability.any info would be great.

I would guess that any procedural issues interfering with the viability of the sperm would also interfere with the ability of the sperm to fertilize the egg in the first place. Good luck

hi there.
it shouldn't affect the sperm how it is inserted into you.
sperm can't really be damaged just because its not in the penis no more.
but you you cant ever be 100% possitive that your babys going to be fine, it could get something that isn't genetic. but thats rare.
hope thats helped x

In my opinion, you can never be sure you will never inherit a genetic disorder or condition, no matter the method of conception. Life always means taking chances. And, though I'm sorry to say it, no history of problems does not mean a child won't have them. However, I don't think the method you used to get pregnant could produce any more problems than penetration itself. If there were any problem, I guess it would come from the semen or your own egg themselves, not the method.
We all have fears that our children will not be "perfect". In most cases, our fears have no foundation at all. Enjoy your pregnancy and see a doctor if you have any questions. I understand modern medicine can help even unborn babies.
