The other day I confirmed my presence at a common event through an email, and his response was "I can't wait to see you there". He' never showed verbal enthusiasm before. Was this a platonic response or is there more to it? Reply to this Question Share |

I think it's a nice friendly PLATONIC response. No need to overthink every word he writes.

I think it was a platonic response. Even if there is some attraction I think it would be wise to keep it work-friendly. Getting involved with a co-worker can backfire. Rejection can also cause problems as he never indicated that he liked you more then a co-worker.

I agree with highmaintainance101. So far it all sounds very friendly. If he's interested in you, he'll ask you out.

Why at your age are you waiting for him to ask you out. Ask him for a drink if you are interested. Stop playing the waiting game. It's silly.
Have fun at your event!
