Was I right to send him to his ex?

A female United States age , anonymous writes:

i met a guy that lives 8 hours away. we clicked fast. i went to visit him for a week and we had a great time. his ex girlfriend decided to come back and she waqnted him back. he became confused and sad he did not know what he wanted. i told him to go back to her.. because we could not move forward if she is still in his heart. i have not heard from him. it hurted but i knew as long as she was in the picture we could never make it. did i do the right thing?

If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn't, it was never yours to begin with." SO if that man belongs to you, he will come back to you no matter what. If he doesn't, then you won't get hurt in the triangle. But it hurts right now i know. Let be strong!

Red591 agony auntNOt only did you do the right thing, KUDOS for being so mature and stong. No guy should have to decide if he wants you or not. If a guy can't figure out if he wants me or not than I make the choice very simple. You did the absolute most perfect thing and you look come off looking like someone who has enough going on her life that she does not need to compete for a guy. Him and his ex most likely will fail again but you are definately the winner in this. :)
