Hahaha, guys never want to hear "it was OK". They want to hear, "OMG", "Wow", "Fantastic", etc.
If he's a secure man, then it probably didn't bother him. If he's insecure (which is probably why he asked), then it may have just bothered him.
It's all in the body language post-comment. Did he seem to be acting weird?
My advice: Sometimes honesty is NOT the best policy. "Pretty good" is similar to "OK", just sounds a long more positive. Or come uup with creative ways to deflect the situation, like, "gee, I dunno, let's try again!"
I'm just addressing the sex situation here, not the ex-boyfriend one :)
