A female reader, AuntyEm United Kingdom +, writes (26 October 2013):

AuntyEm agony auntYes it's possible but will depend on the reasons you had a cesarian section, how your healing went and if you have any underlying health issues like raised blood pressure etc.

Sometimes you are allowed to have a trial of labour to see how you cope.

If you had a cesarian for pelvic problems then it's unlikely you will be allowed to deliver vaginally.

Speak to your midwife/doctor and see if they can advise you with regard to your previous issues.

Lots of women do go on to have vaginal birth after cesarian but it is entirely dependant of your individual case.
