writes:hi. just need advice on dating after serious relationship!Basically i was with my ex for four years and we have a daughter together. i finished with him 3 and a half months ago, coz i was sick of his drink problem and lies. he is getting help again and moved out etc but im really not sure if i wanna get back with him as i no im going to be constant weary if he will start drinking again and i no i will prob never trust him! but i been on a chat site just chatting meeting friends etc but one guy in particular i like, we just click and he phones me most days. he has asked me out at first i said ok then i told him no coz i wasnt ready for anything, but he didnt give up lol he said ok just one date! i thought well ok its not like im marrying the guy!! i made sure i no the area etc and safety for obvious reasons! but im thinking should i?? he is really nice, it is one date but i feel is it too soon? any advice would be appreciated thanks

 IMO it's not too soon to begin casually dating others...
my father was dating 3 months after my mother died...
I've always gone by the "as soon as you feel ready"
with my first husband when we broke up I was ready within months...
with my second it took me almost a year to feel ready...
if you feel ready... do it... but take it slow...
