You have some really excellent points there. A part of learning and growing is asking questions, and it's great that a site like this exists where those questions can be asked, and different perspectives can be shared. Different options can then be considered which may never have been thought of before. And that leads to the possibility of change, whether big or small.
I personally found this site a couple of years ago. I was not very well at the time, and was looking for a place where I could contribute my time, where I could help other's and make a difference. I also received some great advice myself. I asked a question about my circumstances at that time, and one of the uncles on here took the time to give me a no-nonsense answer. This answer had such an impact on me. I was walking down a self-destructive path, and thanks to the uncle in question, I was able to see things with more clarity and turn it around.
I was also fortunate enough to be able to send a message to this person at a later date and thank them for their advice. So I will also end this with the words...thank you.

I was faced with a moral dilema when I found this site. I'd rather not go into the details, but I received some excellent advice, which I chose to listen to. I'm grateful I did. I found I liked this place and stuck around to help others. I just like to help others learn from my mistakes. Why learn the hard way if you don't have to?
