Question - (10 May 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 May 2010)
A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and 8 months. I think I think we fell in love instantly. We started having sex about 4 or 5 months after we met and our relationship started getting better and better. I shared things with him that I wouldn't share with anybody else and he did the same. Then just when I thought everything was going good, we started having issues. We argued over stupid stuff alot and all of the good times started to just fade away. So our relationship was pretty much off and on. And now I'm confused because I want to let it go because I'm tired of the drama, but at the same time I'm scared to let us go because I still have something in ghe back of my mind telling me to wait a little while longer, there might jus b hope for us. I need some real gud advice, because I'm really confused, and I really really don't know what to do. Help please, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (10 May 2010):

There is no hope. That little voice is preventing you from seeing the truth. On/off relationships never work out. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. All those little stupid arguments will be the same or worse in a few months, and you'll still be on/off and unhappy about it and tired of the drama. This won't work out and you need to move on now, or you'll end up risking your dignity and people will think you're a doormat. You mustn't allow that.
